If you were on W. Broughton Street last Friday night, it’s likely the illuminated projection near Jefferson caught your eye. A collaboration by Matt Hebermehl and “Dr. Z” James Zdaniewski, the video projection was a silent, ever-rotating illustration that gradually changed form. Scrolling and fluid, the artful projection was cast along the side of a building near Atwell’s Art and Frame, where the reception for Art-O-Rama took place. (more…)

flash for iphone Flash CS5 - Turn your Flash games into iPhone AppsSo there’s still no Flash in Safari, but once Adobe hatches Flash Professional CS5 you’ll be able to port your wacky Flash games or animations out to real, live iPhone/iPod touch apps. Yep, ActionScript 3 nerds rejoice: that tasty App Store pie will soon be yours, never minding the whole plug-in debate.

This is truly quite awesome in one regard, as it lowers the barrier to entry for some app developers, and will ease the port of some cool online games that we’ve seen floating around the interwebs. Then again, if you’ve spent a little time at places like Newgrounds.com, you will quickly see the dark side to this announcement from Adobe. All those crummy Flash toys online just got one step closer to coming to life on the App Store (we’re guessing most will sell for the low, low price of $.99). At this rate there will be more apps than iPhones! (more…)

In today’s Web 2.0 culture we see all websites, especially the world-famous Facebook flooded with new applications, games, contests, quizzes, and all types of different entertainment.  However, these new tools aren’t just there for people to have fun and, like mostly everything in this world, they can have a specific objective for any type of business.

Facebook applications, depending on the type, can help you reach many different targets.  This site has users ranging from small children to grandparents, so you can hit pretty much any demographic you want if you create your applications right.  This new type of promotion can be very useful thanks to the fact that every time someone uses your application, the name of your company will pop up and they won’t get tired of it. 3D Gaming coming to PS3 in 2010 to all existing games

The console itself pumps out a quite regular signal over HDMI, which the TV syncs up with your 3D glasses. A 200Hz TV, for instance, alternates 1080p frames, with 100Hz for each eye. Of course, you’ll need a brand new TV, but at least it won’t be restricted to just Sony televisions. Start saving those pennies!
