Tucked away on Savannah’s west side, down Louisville Road, is Meddin Studios, a former slaughter house turned digital media production atelier. Hebermehl and DrZ Light Up Savannah

If you were on W. Broughton Street last Friday night, it’s likely the illuminated projection near Jefferson caught your eye. A collaboration by Matt Hebermehl and “Dr. Z” James Zdaniewski, the video projection was a silent, ever-rotating illustration that gradually changed form. Scrolling and fluid, the artful projection was cast along the side of a building near Atwell’s Art and Frame, where the reception for Art-O-Rama took place. (more…)

How to become one of Whack's Featured Artists

At the core we are all artists here at WHACK media design. The need for creative ideas is constant. We want to help support spontaneous creations, by tagging our back wall. It’s our way to feature your art, creation, sketch, painting, whatever the medium. We encourage you to tag our wall and we’ll feature your artwork for the month, link to your site, facebook, twitter, etc., to help promote you as an artist, as well as keep our wall fresh with ideas. Find out how to be a WHACK featured artist below.
We want you to tag our wall. (example below by artist Matt Hebermehl)

Rules:
- Download the wall template .jpg (right click to download to desktop), pre-sized for convenience.
- Tag the wall. Draw, tag, paint, sketch, illustrate, photoshop your artwork on our wall.
- Save down for web in .jpg format. (Images should be no larger than 900kb).
- Send your tagged .jpg image* to us at info@whackdesign.com as well as the following information:
- Include your Full Name, Contact Email, Location, Website links (portfolio, facebook, twitter, etc.)
- If we approve your artwork to be featured on our wall we will contact you for a brief interview and ask for a photo of you to be featured in the Featured Artist section of our journal.
