web design business Is Your Website Working for Your Business?In today’s business world it is not conceivable for a company not to have a website.  No matter what field of work they’re in, having something on the internet is vital and it would just be naïve for an organization not to take that opportunity.  However, since the digital world is overpopulated with sites, blogs and other inventions, getting the most out of a website can be a challenge.  It’s not just about getting a site up and running, it is about making it attractive and different from the competition.

First of all, it is important to have in mind that everything begins with a first impression and first impressions don’t depend on written content or interesting sections of the site, they are mostly visual and if your site isn’t attractive to the eyes, most people won’t even be there long enough to look at the content.  Design is always the first thing that impacts a user and depending on that, other things can leave an impression. At the core we are all artists here at WHACK media design. The need for creative ideas is constant. We want to help support spontaneous creations, by tagging our back wall. It’s our way to feature your art, creation, sketch, painting, whatever the medium. We encourage you to tag our wall and we’ll feature your artwork for the month, link to your site, facebook, twitter, etc., to help promote you as an artist, as well as keep our wall fresh with ideas. Find out how to be a WHACK featured artist below.

Rules:

  1. Download the wall template .jpg (right click to download to desktop), pre-sized for convenience.
  2. Tag the wall. Draw, tag, paint, sketch, illustrate, photoshop your artwork on our wall.
  3. Save down for web in .jpg format. (Images should be no larger than 900kb).
  4. Send your tagged .jpg image* to us at info@whackdesign.com as well as the following information:
    1. Include your Full Name, Contact Email, Location, Website links (portfolio, facebook, twitter, etc.)
  5. If we approve your artwork to be featured on our wall we will contact you for a brief interview and ask for a photo of you to be featured in the Featured Artist section of our journal.
*All artwork submitted by artists automatically gives WHACK media design, LLC. permission to use the imagery for it’s website, blog, and any other online promotional media.

Whether they are for businesses, topic related or just personal, everybody seems to have one and millions update it around 2 million times a minute. But why? When this latest trend is analyzed, it’s clear that about 99% of blogs are pretty much garbage for 99% of the population. However, just as these little writing tools can be useless, they can be a huge help for any type of business as long as they are managed correctly.

Search engine optimization is one of the most vital goals for a business, especially when it is an internet based company. It’s pretty easy to realize that the higher you are on Google or Yahoo search results, the more people are going to notice you. The problem is how do you get your business onto the first page, and a blog can be a big pick-me-up for the simple reason that search engines are always looking for frequently updated information, and a blog that is updated on a daily basis can go a long way.
